AI Security Became an Enterprise Buying Problem

HiddenLayer positions its platform across AI discovery, supply-chain protection, attack simulation, and runtime defense. The company describes risks that traditional code and infrastructure tools do not fully cover, including poisoned models, prompt manipulation, tool misuse, and attacks against autonomous agents.

Its September 2, 2026 announcement said the company was extending its platform with Agentic Runtime Security and Agent Harness Security. The product action is to protect AI systems while they operate, not only to review a model before deployment.

The Reported Growth Came With New Platform Customers

HiddenLayer’s company announcement said annual recurring revenue grew more than 10x over the prior year and that the company signed more than 50 new platform customers across brokerage, banking, insurance, accounting, government, technology, pharmaceuticals, airlines, and defense and intelligence organizations.

TechCrunch’s interview with CEO Chris Sestito said ARR was in the tens of millions of dollars and that more than 90% of the growth came from new customers. The interview did not disclose an exact ARR figure, so the article keeps the company-reported growth rate separate from the unreported absolute amount.

A $100M Series B Funds Runtime and Agent Protection

The official announcement said HiddenLayer raised a $100 million Series B led by Delta-v Capital, with participation from Ten Eleven Ventures, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft’s M12, and Booz Allen Ventures. The company said it would use the funding to deepen its enterprise platform and expand agentic runtime protection.

The same announcement said HiddenLayer supports a leading frontier model provider securing more than 700 million weekly users. That usage figure is a supported-user scale claim, not a count of paying customers and not ARR.

From Research to a Security Subscription

HiddenLayer’s commercial path connects adversarial-AI research with a platform that security teams can place around models, agents, and AI workflows. Runtime monitoring, attack simulation, supply-chain controls, and protection for coding agents give the company several enterprise entry points rather than a single model-scanning feature.

Public materials do not show HiddenLayer using APIToken(https://apitoken.company/). Another AI product team can use APIToken(https://apitoken.company/) with an isolated project key, status checks, usage records, and a budget boundary for a small real test of an AI workflow.
