Two products, two commercial milestones
Cursor’s June 6, 2025 Series C announcement said its ARR had exceeded $500 million and that more than half of Fortune 500 companies used the product. The announcement also described a $900 million financing at a $9.9 billion valuation.
Those financing and valuation figures are capital-market measures. They are not additional revenue and do not establish profit.
Cursor identified NVIDIA, Uber, and Adobe as examples of companies using its product. The brief announcement, attributed to the Cursor Team, presented enterprise adoption alongside the recurring-revenue milestone.
The investors named in the round included Thrive, Accel, Andreessen Horowitz, and DST. Cursor said the funding would support product improvements and further AI coding research. The team described its original aim as creating a better way to write code.
Cognition’s figure uses a different measure
A May 27, 2026 TechCrunch report said Cognition had reached a $492 million annualized revenue run rate. A run rate extrapolates a current pace; it is not automatically audited annual revenue or ARR.
The Cursor and Cognition figures come from separate dates and disclosures. They should not be combined into a single accounting comparison.
